Taiwan became the 41st signatory to the WTO’s plurilateral Agreement on Government Procurement (GPA) in July 2009. To help Taiwanese enterprises obtain procurement opportunities benefiting from GPA accession, TAITRA assists Taiwanese companies through information sharing, procurement meetings, and seminars. Throughout the years, TAITRA has been running a website providing the latest global public tender notices and other relevant business information collected from over 120 Taiwanese trade and economic offices. Additionally, TAITRA organizes seminars on specific countries’ public procurement guidelines and various experiences with international bids, providing product sourcing and supplier matchmaking services that fulfill all foreign tender winners’ procurement plans.
Marketing alliances in smart cities (on ICT, engineering, security and surveillance, green energy, and water treatment) have been established since 2016. The members of these alliances are system integration solution providers with government procurement project experiences in each area. The alliance members share market information and experience with one another and work together to provide state-of-the-art total solutions. Moreover, TAITRA arranges trade missions for alliance members to promote their products and solutions overseas.
It is our hope that under under TAITRA’s service, Taiwan’s dynamic enterprises will deepen the relationships with tender winners, win subcontracting opportunities, and strengthen their ability to bid directly on government contracts abroad.
