Taiwan-Czech Economic and Trade Cooperation The Czech Parliament Chamber of Deputies Speaker, Markéta Pekarová Adamová, led a record-breaking delegation of nearly 160 representatives from government, business, academia, and media to visit Taiwan. During the visit, 57 Czech businesses held discussions with 110 Taiwanese companies, generating $15.7 million in business opportunities. The number of Czech companies to Taiwan was the largest in history, with Taiwanese businesses bringing samples for on-site displays. Taiwan Trade Mission to Latin America The trade mission to Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, and Peru showcased 25 Taiwanese businesses specializing in automotive parts, construction hard- ware, machinery, fitness equipment, safety gear, and textiles. It generated business opportunities worth $24.63 million US dollars with 474 buyers from the four countries. Additionally, a Taiwan Week event was held in Mexico to promote Taiwanese culture, tourism, and cuisine. 19
