The “2022 Sourcing Taiwan for Global Government Procurement - ICT and Security Solutions & US Broadband Infrastructure” online meeting was cosponsored by the International Trade Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) on May 24, 2022. The day was also the first day of the physical event COMPUTEX 2022.
In this meeting, 14 buyers from 10 different countries enthusiastically participated, and 19 local businessmen negotiated 24 sessions. This year's Sourcing Taiwan for Global Government Procurement focused on four large categories in the information and communications technology (ICT) industry:
- Smart Solutions: logistics solutions, smart door lock, the Internet of Things (IoT)
- Computers: personal computer (PC), notebook, barebone computer, mini-PC
- Computer Devices: video camera, multilayer printed circuit board (PCB), power supply, connectors, discrete devices, chassis
- Broadband: optical fiber, cables, software
All TAITRA overseas offices made every effort to invite green industry buyers from all over the world through virtual and real integration and match online meetings in order to break through the time difference and epidemic restrictions. We invited buyers such as AMAX Engineering Corporation and UPTECH 66 from the United States, Accuro Technology S.L. from Spain, PDA Systemhouse Ltd. and X-Terminator Kft. from Hungary, and other internationally renowned manufacturers to participate in the online event.
COMPUTEX
COMPUTEX is an essential platform for the global technology industry. COMPUTEX 2022 provided diverse experiences for international visitors with its hybrid exhibition. The 4-day event, from May 24 to 28, 2022, brought together 400 technology companies using 1000 booth spaces. Furthermore, the onsite guided service for online international important buyers successfully arranged more than 181 procurement meetings. As of today, COMPUTEX DigitalGo has attracted visits from 69 countries, with most visitors coming from Japan, Germany, the United States, Singapore, China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, and South Korea.
