Entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) had led Taiwanese businesses to showcase products and services from May 18–20 at Seguritec Peru 2022 at the Jockey Exhibition Centre of Lima.
This is the first time that Taiwan participates in the event. This year, three Taiwanese companies have attended the exhibition in person under the Taiwan Pavilion. Below is a brief description of each company along with its website:
Getac Technology Corporation (Getac) has been providing rugged computing solutions for demanding professionals in extreme environments. Getac was established as a joint venture with GE Aerospace to supply Taiwan’s defense with electronic products. Megalink Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 1987, starting with PC mainboard design and providing products to the US, Switzerland, Sweden, and more. Recently, the company has begun production on wireless security systems, which supply either a “plug and play” function in hardware or a full security function in software, allowing users to use them easily. Elite Line Industrial Corp. was established in 1978 and engages in various types of valve production. Elite is committed to supplying quality and durable valves for fire protection, industrial, waterwork, and building applications. According to the Bureau of Foreign Trade statistics, the bilateral trade between Peru and Taiwan brought in 627 million USD in 2021. Taiwanese exports to Peru included plastics, electrical machinery, parts of vehicles, and rubber. There are tremendous trade opportunities between Peru and Taiwan.
