14 14 New Southbound Countries, Emerging Countries, and Central Eastern Europe The New Southbound and Emerging Markets The global supply chain has reconfigured and the New Southbound policy has been focusing on the ASEAN, the South Asia, Australia and New Zealand domestic markets. TAITRA organized online trade delegations and business days to facilitate enterprises in seizing opportunities through activities such as business matchmaking and networking events. TAITRA also held the “Nigeria Taiwan Week” and the “Saudi Arabia Taiwan Week” for the first time. These events included virtual exhibitions, online forums and trade meetings. Nearly 1,000 international buyers were online for Halal food products from Taiwan.
